🎯 The Mission

Own the social media and content engine for a community-led travel brand, turning distinctive storytelling, consistent execution and audience insight into reach, engagement and qualified demand.

Social media is one of the brand's most important discovery and trust-building channels. You will shape how the brand shows up every day, translate travel and community experiences into compelling content, and build a disciplined operating rhythm that keeps quality and performance moving forward.

About the Organization

We are an ambitious, community-led travel brand creating thoughtfully curated group journeys that help strangers discover new places and find their people along the way.

The experience is intentionally selective and community-first. The ambition is to build a distinctive consumer brand in a category with enormous headroom, where the content itself makes people want to belong.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Social Media Lead who can combine strong content judgment with disciplined channel management and a clear understanding of what drives audience growth, engagement and demand.

You will work closely with the founders and marketing team to own the social media strategy, content calendar and day-to-day execution across priority platforms. You will turn trips, traveller stories, cultural moments and community insights into content that is timely, relevant and recognizably on-brand.

This role suits an experienced content manager or social media lead who is comfortable moving between planning and execution. You should be able to brief a creator, improve a caption, review an edit, coordinate a shoot, respond to a trend and explain channel performance with equal confidence.

What You'll Own

Social media strategy and channel growth

  • Own the strategy and operating plan for priority social channels, with an initial focus on Instagram and other relevant discovery platforms.
  • Define clear content pillars, audience segments, platform roles and publishing goals.
  • Build monthly and weekly content calendars around business priorities, travel seasons, cultural moments, launches and community stories.
  • Identify emerging formats and trends, then adapt them intelligently without diluting the brand's voice.
  • Grow reach, engagement, saves, shares, follower quality and qualified interest through consistent experimentation.

Content planning and execution

  • Take content from idea to publish: concepts, briefs, scripts, captions, shoot plans, asset coordination, reviews and scheduling.
  • Turn trips, destinations, traveller experiences, testimonials and behind-the-scenes moments into compelling social-first stories.
  • Maintain a reliable publishing cadence while protecting creative quality, accuracy and tone.
  • Repurpose strong ideas across reels, carousels, stories, static posts, community content and founder-led formats.
  • Keep the content calendar current and ensure stakeholders, creators and production partners have clear deadlines and feedback.

Creative production and partner management

  • Plan and coordinate lean shoots with travellers, hosts, founders, creators and internal teams.
  • Brief and manage designers, editors, photographers, videographers, freelancers and agencies when required.
  • Review scripts, edits, copy and visual assets with a strong eye for hooks, pacing, storytelling and brand consistency.
  • Build practical workflows, templates and approval rhythms that improve speed without creating unnecessary process.
  • Maintain an organized content library so high-performing footage and assets can be reused effectively.

Community, creators and collaborations

  • Work closely with the community team to surface member stories, conversations and user-generated content.
  • Build relationships with relevant creators and partners, and support collaborations from outreach and briefing through delivery and reporting.
  • Coordinate community engagement across comments and direct messages with the appropriate internal owners.
  • Spot recurring audience questions and cultural signals that can inspire useful, entertaining or trust-building content.

Measurement and improvement

  • Track weekly and monthly channel performance using a clear scorecard.
  • Report on reach, engagement, watch time, saves, shares, follower growth, traffic and qualified leads where attribution is available.
  • Diagnose why content worked or underperformed, and turn those insights into sharper hooks, formats, posting choices and creative briefs.
  • Run structured tests across themes, formats, creators, calls to action and distribution tactics.
  • Connect social activity to campaign and business priorities rather than reporting vanity metrics in isolation.

Your First 90 Days

First 30 days: learn and audit

  • Immerse yourself in the audience, trips, community, brand voice and founder vision.
  • Audit existing channels, content performance, workflows, asset availability and external partners.
  • Identify quick improvements in calendar discipline, formats, hooks, creative quality and measurement.
  • Establish a simple weekly planning and reporting rhythm.

Expected outcome: A clear channel diagnosis, a prioritized action plan and a dependable near-term content calendar.

Days 31–60: establish the operating rhythm

  • Finalize content pillars, channel roles, audience priorities and platform-specific guidelines.
  • Put a repeatable workflow in place for briefs, production, approvals, publishing and reporting.
  • Launch structured tests across formats, themes, creators and calls to action.
  • Build a practical roster of creators and production partners for recurring needs.

Expected outcome: More consistent publishing, stronger creative direction and early evidence of what can scale.

Days 61–90: improve and scale

  • Own the next quarter's social media and content roadmap.
  • Launch or strengthen repeatable series that the audience can recognize and return to.
  • Use performance insights to improve creative choices, distribution and campaign planning.
  • Present a realistic plan for team, budget, creator partnerships and production support.

Expected outcome: A reliable social content engine with clear ownership, measurable progress and a focused plan for sustainable growth.

The Profile That Will Thrive

You are a hands-on social and content operator who combines creative instinct with dependable execution.

You should bring:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in social media, content marketing or brand content.
  • Experience working with a service-led hospitality or travel business, an experiential brand, or a mass-premium D2C or lifestyle brand.
  • A strong portfolio of social-first work, with clear ownership of strategy, execution and channel outcomes.
  • Fluency in Instagram and short-form video, plus a practical understanding of how content should adapt across platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing judgment across hooks, scripts, captions, carousels and campaign narratives.
  • Experience coordinating shoots and managing designers, editors, creators, freelancers or agencies.
  • Comfort reading channel data and using it to make better creative and distribution decisions.
  • Strong project management, with the ability to run a content calendar and multiple workstreams without losing detail.
  • A high-ownership, low-ego working style and the willingness to stay close to the work.
  • A genuine interest in travel, culture, community and experience-led brands.

What Success Looks Like

  • Priority social channels have a clear strategy, recognizable voice and dependable publishing cadence.
  • Content quality and consistency improve across reels, stories, carousels and campaign assets.
  • Reach, engagement, watch time, saves, shares, follower quality and qualified interest show measurable progress.
  • The brand develops repeatable social series and formats that audiences recognize.
  • Content planning, production, approvals and reporting run through a clear and practical system.
  • Creators, freelancers and production partners are briefed well and deliver reliably.
  • The founders and marketing team have a dependable social media partner who brings both ideas and execution.

How We Work

The culture is founder-led, entrepreneurial and high-energy. Cultural alignment matters as much as skill: we value people who are resourceful, direct, commercially aware and ready to build.

You will thrive here if you can bring structure to a fast-moving environment, make good decisions without perfect information and balance a strong creative point of view with openness to feedback.

This role may not suit someone seeking a narrow strategy mandate or a large, established team. It requires end-to-end ownership, close attention to detail and a willingness to stay involved in execution.

Practical Details

  • Role: Social Media Lead
  • Experience: 3 to 6 years
  • Compensation: ₹8 to ₹12 LPA
  • Employment: Full-time
  • Work model: In-office
  • Location: Delhi NCR
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required for trips, shoots and brand experiences

Why This Role Is Worth It

Travel and community create an unusually rich canvas for social storytelling. You will have meaningful ownership of how the brand shows up, the freedom to test new formats and direct access to the people, journeys and moments that make the content real.

You will join at a stage where disciplined execution can make a visible difference, and where a strong social media lead can help turn audience attention into trust, participation and growth.
